Dr Dilan Roshani's 3 days Seminars @ at the Koya University

To celebrate the 3rd year anniversary of the Koya University a series of seminars have been presented by Dr Dilan Roshani the seminars covered 4 topics. On Monday the 9the of Oct two seminars were held on “Plan, Apply, Run and Maintain a successful web Project”, which explained the fundamental of virtual representation of concepts in terms of education, and business on the Internet. The seminar was appreciated by IT students as well as lecturers and staff.

The second seminar put the background information of the first seminar and explained the concept, framework and necessity of an “e-Universities a future oriented education”. This is issue was particularly emphasised in relation to the current condition in Kurdistan and the needs of news skills and international standards. The second day of the seminars Tuesday the 10th of Oct 2006, Dr Roshani told us a new aspect of IT and its impact in one of the most traditional industry, namely the role of “IT in Construction Industry”. This was new perspective how IT can play a great role in smart product modelling of construction project based on IFC data modelling (Please view further information on IFC at (www.iai-international.org).

The third day of the seminars on Wednesday the 11th of Oct, 10am covered a rather rare and controversial question of modern Kurdish society. The issue of “IT the Dilemma of Kurdish Language” was the topic of this seminars. Dr. Dilan Roshani emphasised the necessity and importance of having a Unified Kurdish Alphabet at age of electronic and media communication. He encouraged the participant to further study the project and the concept behind his seminar at the Kurdish Academy of Language at ( www.KurdishAcademy.org ). He asked the participant to join the network especially the IT and linguistic student.

Dr. Dilan is graduate PhD from the University of Nottingham in UK.
