A Koya University delegation visited a number of Iranian universities on 17 April, 2016. The delegation was headed by Dr. Wali Mahmood Hamad, the President of Koya University and included a number of the academic and administrative staff of Koya University.

Isfahan University of Technology

Talking about the visit, the President of Koya University stated,"Within the framework of our visit to the Islamic Republic of Iran, we visited Isfahan University of Technology and had a special meeting with Mr. Mudaris Hashmi, the President of Isfahan University of Technology, his Vice President and a number of heads of departments. The meeting which lasted for about an hour centered on enhancing scientific and academic relations between the two universities and later logos of the two universities were exchanged." 

During the visit, the Koya University delegation visited the research centers of the Isfahan University of Technology and became acquainted with the scientific and academic capacities of the University.

This visit came following a visit by a delegation from Isfahan University to Koya University on 8/9/2015 during which a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between the two universities. For more information click here.

Concerning their visit to the University of Isfahan , the President of Koya University, said, "During our visit to the University of Isfahan, we visited all the sections of the University that we had put on our agenda, including the Presidency of the University of Isfahan, the Central Library, and the departments of Chemisty, Physics, Computer and Agriculture." The members of the delegation visited the mentioned sections in teams according to their academic expertise and specialties. 

During their visit to the University of Isfahan, the Koya University delegation met with Mr. Hooshang Talebi, the President of the University of isfahan and other high-ranking members of the University. In this respect, the President of Koya University said, "During our visit with Dr. Hooshang Talebi, we held extensive talks on promoting academic relations and both sides agreed on signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) in the future. To this end, both universities will keep in contact to discuss this issue." The meeting ended with the exchange of university logos by the two Presidents of Koya and Isfahan Universities.

Shahid Beheshti University

On Wednesday 20 April 2016, The Koya University delegation arrived in Tehran, the capital of the Islamic Republic of Iran and visited the Shahid Beheshti University where they started implementing their visit's planned program. During their visit to Shahid Beheshti University, several meetings and interviews were held between the members of the two universities and the Koya University delegation visited a number of departments and laboratories of the Shahid Beheshti University. Later in the afternoon a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between Dr. Mohammad Mehdi Tehranchi, the President of Shahid Beheshti University and Dr. Wali Mahmud Hamad, the President of Koya University.

This visit of Koya University delegation to Shahid Beheshti University came following a visit by a delegation from this university to Koya University on 3/3/2016 during which a plan for this visit was suggested. For more information click here.

Visiting KRG Representation in Iran

On 21 April 2016, although it was a holiday there, the Koya University delegation visited the KRG representation in the Islamic Republic of Iran and were received by Mr. Nazim Dabagh, the KRG Representative there. during this meeting, the koya University President talked about the relations between Koya University and the Iranian universities and he also referred to some of the Koya University achievements as one of the leading universities in the Kurdistan Region. Later the logo of Koya University was presented to the KRG Representation and was placed in the office.

On the morning of 22 April 2016, the Koya University delegation ended their visit and returned to Kurdistan Region.
