The World Food Program (WFP) has provided financial support to Koya University in order to develop job opportunities in the agricultural sector for the Koya district.

Following the submission of the proposal by the Directorate of Career Services of Koya University, a grant in the amount of 114 million 954 thousand Iraqi Dinars was granted in order to work to foster chances for entrepreneurship and leadership in the sector of agriculture. It still includes 160 hours of instruction from 15 professors and trainers.

The announcement of the 40 students who had received financial support was followed by a request for work projects in the areas of agriculture and the agricultural industry from 30 of the 40 students. For each of these initiatives, funding in the amount of 3 million 675 thousand dinars has been allocated. Within seven months before the projects' construction begins, Koya University will watch over and advise the project's owners and play a role that promotes local agriculture and the agricultural industries.

Koya University's contribution to the local community and the creation of job opportunities for youth, particularly through the advancement of agriculture and the development of jobs and special projects in this sector, is made possible by this financial support, which is a unique and significant experience.
