A six-day visit to the provinces of Baghdad, Najaf, and Basra is being made by a Koya University delegation under the leadership of Asst. Prof. Dr. Mohammed Haseeb Siddiq.

On the first day of the visit, the delegation's third destination was at the Iraq Government's Ministry of Oil, and welcomed by Deputy Minister of Oil Dr. Izzat Sabir, and expressed his delight at their arrival.

For his part, Koya University's President, Asst. Prof. Dr. Mohammed Haseeb Siddiq, shared a concise summary of the university's strategic plan, outlining its fundamental tenets and goals.

Koya University President remarked about the Oil and Gas Conference that would take place at Koya University in April 2024 as well as presented a copy of the conference's program to the Deputy Minister of Oil.

Koya University President urged the Deputy Minister of Oil to coordinate Koya University's efforts to secure funding and host training programs in the areas of petroleum and chemical engineering during the meeting.

Dr. Izzat Sabir, the deputy minister of oil, mentioned his willingness to work with Koya University and gave the team an explanation of the necessary steps.

It is noteworthy that the Koya University delegation includes the Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, Asst. Prof. Dr. Azhin Tahir Saber, the Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, Dr. Dawan Jamal Hawezi, Director General of Research and Development Centers Asst. Prof. Dr. Galawezh Bakr Bapir, Dr. Ahmed Mazn and Media Director Asst. Lect. Mohammed Karim Saedgul.
