Koya University’s delegation paid a visit to Faculty of Medicine at University Of Basrah

A six-day visit to the provinces of Baghdad, Najaf, and Basra is being made by a Koya University delegation under the leadership of Asst. Prof. Dr. Mohammed Haseeb Siddiq.

The delegation from Koya University visited the Faculty of Medicine at University of Basrah after signing a Memorandum of Understanding with that institution. They were accompanied by the deans of the Basrah Faculty of Medicine, Prof. Dr. Murtaza Mohammed Saleh Majid, and the Zahra Medical College, Prof. Dr. Mazin Hawaz Abdul-Raza Al-Hawaz.

The Dean and Department Heads of the Faculty of Medicine at University of Basrah greet the Asst. Prof. Dr. Mohammed Haseeb Siddiq, President of Koya University, and a delegation from Koya University.

Koya University President welcomed everyone to the meeting and discussed the significance of the MoU that had been signed with the University of Basrah. He also expressed his satisfaction at being in Basrah and University of Basrah.

The Dean of Koya University's Faculty of Medicine, Dr. Dawan Jamal Hawezi, then shared a brief summary of the faculty's capabilities, number of faculty members and students, along with additional details.

For his part, Prof. Dr. Murtaza Mohammed Saleh Majid, dean of the Faculty of Medicine in University of Basrah, conveyed his delight at the delegation from Koya University's arrival and reaffirmed the faculty's willingness to collaborate in the areas of joint research, academic staff exchanges, hosting students, providing academic staff, and creating joint teams.

Koya University’s delegation then accompanied by Prof. Dr. Murtaza Mohammed Saleh Majid, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine in University of Basrah, visited the faculties' laboratories and classrooms.

It is noteworthy that the Koya University delegation includes  the Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, Asst. Prof. Dr. Azhin Tahir Saber, the Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, Dr. Dawan Jamal Hawezi, Director General of Research and Development Centers Asst. Prof. Dr. Galawezh Bakr Bapir, Dr. Ahmed Mazn and Media Director Asst. Lect. Mohammed Karim Saedgul.
