The Final game of some championships was held in the Faculty of Physical Education

The Faculty of Physical Education at Koya University recently held Leagues in handball, basketball, and table tennis for faculty students in both morning and evening departments, and the final game of these Leagues was held in the closed hall of the Faculty of Physical Education.

On Monday, December 11, 2023, in the presence of Koya University's Vice President for Student Affairs, Asst.Prof.Dr. Qarman Nadir Sheikh Bzeni, some members of the Koya University Council, and Lecturers and students of the Faculty of Physical Education, the final game of handball and table tennis was held in the closed hall of the Faculty of Physical Education at KOU.

The Faculty of Physical Education organized these Leagues for students in both morning and evening departments in handball and table tennis.

First of all, the final match of the table tennis league was held in which "Fidros Farhad" from the second stage of the Faculty of Physical Education won first place, and student "Ala Ako" from the third grade of the Faculty of Physical Education won second place.

At the boys' level, student "Zhiro Jangi" from the fourth stage of the Faculty of Physical Education won first place, and student "Hawraz Rashid" from the third stage of the Faculty of Physical Education won second place.

The final match of the handball league was held between the fourth-year students /Group A of the morning class and the first-year students of the evening class.

It is worth mentioning that on Sunday, December 10, 2023, the final game of the basketball league was held between the fourth-stage students/Group A of the morning class and the first-year students of the evening class.

Awarding prizes to the winners constituted another part of the activities of the Faculty of Physical Education, the Faculty of Physical Education of Koya University within the framework of Koya University's strategic plan the main pillar of "Student Success" intending to promote and develop the students' athletic ability, organized these leagues so that students despite experiencing participation in different sports fields, would also test their physical abilities in the competition field.

KOU has two Scientific Journals; ARO-The Scientific Journal of Koya University, which is indexed by Clarivate Analytics (ESCI), and Koya University Journal of Humanities and Social Sciences (KUJHSS). KOU is a proactive member of Erasmus/ Marhaba Project and Erasmus+.

KOU signed many Memorandum of Understandings (MoU) with many International Universities, e.g., The University of Arkansas (June 2015). The Lulea University in Sweden (April 2014), The University of Nottingham in the UK, The University of Buckingham in the UK (Oct 2008), Belkin University in Turkey (Sep 2009) The University of Greenwich in the UK, Cihan University-Erbil (2021) and Tishk International University (2021).

Koya University is a memebr of The Association of Arab Universities and the International Association of Universities.
